Daily Bible Verses and Devotional
After hearing and considering the word that was spoken, a group of brothers and sisters were inspired by some of the verses that were shared. We felt that it was helpful to reconsider these verses again to dig deeper into the burden of the message and to discover how rich it could be to us. We compiled these verses into six sections, one for each day of the week until the next message, in hopes that many other saints could spend a bit of time every day to reconsider the burden of our brother in a new light.

How amazing it is that we could be ones who love the Lord so much, that He would constitute us throughout our life with Himself! We could have a dream to be like Paul and fight to lay hold of it; we could be like Peter and let the Lord always bring us to higher revelations throughout our life; we can also be like John, who loves the Lord all his life to the point that his entire person is saturated with Christ! Dear saints, let us not be like those who have been brought into something new, only to live as though still in the old. Let us go on loving the Lord and encouraging one another to step out of our comfort and pursue Christ however we can! At the very least, let us each have this prayer in our heart, “Lord I just love You, and there’s no one like You. In the whole universe I have no other one like You; Lord Jesus, I love you”
As we consider these hymns, let them be a part of our being, and say as Paul said “I’m pressing on the upward way!” Or as Peter might say, “Savior lead me up the mountain where the Lord alone is see,” or as John would say, “Loving Him whate’er befalls, Loving Jesus that is all.”

Dear saints, we need to have the Lord, not just see the Lord. If you don’t have the Lord, anything we do becomes a competitor to the Lord’s work and a frustration, because everything we do is out of our flesh. Even we have good, clean flesh, it becomes the barriers to us following the Lord. It’s not just about breaking patterns. It’s about having and following Christ. It’s very easy to be kidnapped by the voices of our own successes. You couldn’t have a greater ministry than John. He introduced Christ, he was in the spirit of Elijah, but even he got carried away with his work to the point he held back from Christ instead of being baptized by Christ. We need to be careful not to get swept away by work and miss Christ. In previous messages, we saw no one cared. John cared, he really cared. But when it came down to it, did he really care? Ecclesiastes 7:8 says the end of a matter is better than the beginning. It is sobering that John did not finish well. It’s good to start well, but it is better to finish well. John said I must decrease. What he needed to say is I need to disappear! And be totally swallowed by Christ. How blessed that our realization in this day is “I am crucified with Christ never less I live.”
As we sing these songs and consider them together, have this payer in your heart “Lord, I want to finish well. I don’t want my flesh to compete against Your desires. I follow You Lord Jesus, even through the cross. Help me to finish well Lord.” As Hebrews 3:14 says: "For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;"

Hymns
Are we apathetic like the scribes and Pharisees, or are we pursuers like the wise men? Being a pursuer means we chase after Him, and are not content or satisfied with what we already have. The vision, the more we chase after it, then becomes clearer and closer to us. Eventually, the morning star rises in our own hearts, and we are those who can operate and dispense life into the saints around us. This is so marvelous! We can care for saints and dispense life into them and encourage each other to chase after the Lord! Saints, are we stars that are being held in the Lord’s hand to give life to the church? Let us all soberly take this word before the Lord with the deep prayer in our hearts, “Lord, make us all stars in your hand, to be your messengers, and to operate by giving life to all the saints.”
As we sing or read through these hymns, really consider the words of the song “Brighten The Corner Where You Are.” Let this hymn be a prayer that is taken with you through the whole week, and even beyond this week. Be a messenger where you are! Be an operator where you are! Be an overcomer where you are! Be a life dispenser where you are! Be a shepherd where you are! Be a guide where you are! Ponder these words, and treasure the life of Christ that is in you. Ask the Lord: “Lord, rise up in my heart, that I could be one who can pay a price, to be one who gives life to the saints around, and one who says ‘Come’ with the Spirit to bring You back!”

Hymns
What a blessed life this is, to never consider it a sacrifice to follow after the Lord, but would be ones who are so willing to pay any price to find Him. As we pay this price, no matter how costly, we must continue to seek that star and watch it come closer and closer until we find Christ is so personal and intimate with us. Only those who pay a price are the ones who can really find Christ. Can we be those who not only see a distant heavenly vision, but are also those who can pursue until it becomes a clear reality? Oh saints! We must be ones who care as much as these wise men did. No matter the cost, let us press forward by faith and find our Lord! Let us be ones who don’t just know the truth and yet do nothing about it, but let us diligently seek after Christ! Who will go forth for Him?

Hymns
These shepherds were individuals that the Lord really used to bring in a vision of Christ and spread the word that they had received from the heavenly host concerning this child. Seemingly, nothing seemed to befit the King of kings in this situation. The shepherds were not high, not noble, not wise, and there was no place in the world to bring Jesus in; but those were the people the Messiah was revealed to, and that was the moment God had Him come. You would think that God would have opened a place in the most beautiful palace in the world, because His Son is coming!! But there was no room anywhere. We might even think, “God, for Your Son to come, You need to make the environment right and perfect, you need to clear space, you need this or that.” But in fact, God said “In My government, the birth of the savior of all mankind will be born on the roadside as a pilgrim in this world.” However, because of the manner of this birth, all the habitable world could hear the gospel of His birth as the shepherds proclaimed His coming to all who came for the census and packed into the town! Praise the Lord for His wise ways. Truly, God is the Immortal, Invisible, only wise God, who’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and ways are not our ways.
Can we be ones who can be faithful to care for ones in the wilderness at night, and yet be so excited for Christ to come forth that we would spread the word to all the habitable world? As these hymns are considered and sung, may our hearts reflect the hearts of the shepherds.

What a tender interaction Mary had with the Lord, and she sweetly and tenderly contemplated all that the Lord spoke to her. She represented rebellious man, but she was so tender to the Lord's word. She probably took great care and consideration in raising Jesus as she treasured in her heart all of the things that were spoken concerning Him. So must we, if we are to raise and nurture the life of Christ inside of us, we must care for how we daily spend time with Him, feeding upon His word, contemplating in sweet and tender silence all the grace of God. May our declaration truly match Mary's, that our souls could magnify the Lord.
In singing these hymns, really dwell on the words and heart of each song. Let these songs each become a drink of spiritual milk as you enjoy them in your homes. Feel free to also call one another during the week to have such an experience as Mary; "But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart." (Luke 2:19)

The Lord’s grace is so perfect, yet we wander all too often to turn to the things we are most familiar with. Let this prayer be in our hearts: “Lord, lead us and bind us by Your wonderful grace, that we would always turn to Your ever-new self! Bring us out of our routine and law and religious energies, and bring us further into the realm of grace in which we stand as we hope in the glory of God.”
